Site Planning and Design Studio: Fall 2020

About the Project
For the Site Planning and Design Studio the project was to redesign the site of the Sahr’s Sudden Service Center in Fargo, North Dakota. The project required a actively used building and a plaza that that emphasized its use. Along with the base design of the site the detailed construction representation was also
required to further understand the concept
Construction Detailing
This is the first project that the professors had us students go through and plan out what the site were to actually look like it if it were to actually be constructed. This meant doing research on material and how similar things are constructed.
About the Design
In this project I wanted to make this site as sustainable as possible as far as water cleansing and reuse was concerned. For this one indirect lighting was also a large focus because it's something I hadn't played around with at all. This also challenged me to work with the architecture and make decision about how much of the existing site was actually important to keep around.
